Join us for a unique art experience, "Let's Get Small with Marie Marfia," where we'll explore painting big waves on small canvases using the beautiful medium of soft pastels. This workshop is happening on Wednesday, August 9, from 6 - 8 p.m.
In this hands-on session, you'll dive into the vibrant and expressive world of soft pastels. Discover how these versatile sticks of pure pigment deliver rich, luminous color and a unique tactile quality, perfect for blending and layering to create stunning effects. Marie will guide you through creating a captivating painting of waves, using phono reference and providing clear, step-by-step instruction. Feel free to bring your own reference photo if you have something personal you'd like to miniaturize!
This workshop is open to all skill levels, whether you're new to pastels or looking to refine your technique. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn from Marie Marfia, a talented artist renowned for her captivating work with this dynamic medium.

About the Instructor: Marie Marfia is an accomplished artist known for her captivating paintings of skeletons, portraits, and landscapes. With a background in graphic design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kendall College of Art & Design, Marie has a wealth of artistic knowledge and experience.
