We've got a great band to start off our year of dancing! Join us in welcoming The Soda Crackers to the Carrillo Ballroom.It'll be a great night of dancing to this amazing Western swing band. Still only $20 (cash only at the door). No special dress code and no partner is necessary!
We'll have lessons before the dance, at 7:30. Bring a friend new to dancing. We'll have a beginner lesson as well as an intermediate class. Lessons are included in the price of admission. **Please be prompt for lessons. Doors to classes close at 7:40 in respect to our teachers and students**

The Carrillo Ballroom is a landmark 1901 ballroom, with the best spring-loaded wooden floor west of the Mississippi! You'll be able to dance all night on this gorgeous floor, all the while feeling like you're dancing on a cloud!
The Friday Night Dance Committee will be on hand with door prizes.

With a goal to bring back the "classics," The Soda Crackers - a five-piece band whose average age barely cracks the
30-something barrier - are in full swing. Make that - full Bakersfield Sound with a nice helping of Western Swing thrown in as a side dish of sorts. The Soda Crackers celebrate the unsung heroes of the Bakersfield Sound, the B-side gems that never get played, and the showmanship plus the instrumentation that all the greats brought to the smoky ol' beer joints & dance halls from years gone by.
