LETRS ECE

San Mateo County Office of Education is partnering with Lexia LETRS for Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to offer professional learning for preschool and transitional kindergarten teachers to deepen knowledge of literacy instruction for young learners.

The more children know about language and literacy before they begin kindergarten and first grade, the better equipped they are to succeed in literacy learning and beyond.

The LETRS for Early Childhood Education cohort commitment consists of self-paced online learning, two in-person training days, and 3 virtual PLC’s.

LETRS ECE in-person training days:

· LETRS ECE Kick Off Orientation September 2nd 3:30-4:30

· Early Literacy Foundations & Oral Language Connections November 8th 9am-3:30pm

· Phonological “PH”oundations & Print Knowledge February 28th 9 am- 3:30pm

Virtual Literacy PLC’s:

· October 29th 4:30-5:30

· December 10th 4:30-5:30

· February 4th 4:30-5:30
