Lessons from a Career in Financial Advising

Description: Dennis Coughlin will discuss his personal experiences founding and leading CG Capital. He will talk about the nature of his work in finance and his professional certifications as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIP). He will share insights from his expertise in behavioral finance and modern portfolio theory and how they inform his practice. Dennis is an alumnus of SUNY Poly’s College of Business, and he will talk about his educational experiences at SUNY Poly and how they have benefitted his career. He will offer career advice to students interested in finance. This presentation is part of the Finance at SUNY Poly Lecture Series hosted by the Center for Business and Applied Ethics.
