Description: Alicia Dicks will discuss her personal experiences serving as the President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. In particular, she will talk about some of the most pressing challenges that she has overcome while leading a nonprofit organization that creates permanently endowed funds to address current and future needs of our local communities. More generally, she will discuss the traits that CEOs need to be effective leaders of companies and organizations, such as the Community Foundation, and how she developed these traits. And Alicia will offer career advice to all students at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute. This presentation is part of the CEO at SUNY Poly Lecture Series hosted by the Center for Business and Applied Ethics.
