Set against the tumultuous backdrop of 19th-century France, from the post-Napoleonic era of 1815 through the fiery1832 Paris June Rebellion, Les Misérables is a theatrical masterpiece and testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
Adapted from Victor Hugo's epic novel, this legendary sung-through musical traces the journey of Jean Valjean. Imprisoned for 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread, Valjean dares to break parole to rebuild his life, embarking on a lifelong quest for redemption and grace all while relentlessly pursued across decades by the uncompromising Inspector Javert.
Les Misérables captures the full spectrum of our shared humanity through the iconic songs everyone will be humming as they leave the theatre. Come be a part of this beautiful production.

Note: This production of Les Misérables is ensemble based which means many of the supporting and lead characters will be part of the ensemble when they are not their main characters. Also, some characters deal with different ranges of intimacy within this production.
ABOUT THE AUDITION
Please make sure to upload a headshot and resume if you have one to Casting Manager when signing up. If you have a physical copy please feel free to bring that as well for the people in the room.
Vocals
Please prepare 32 bars of any song in a similar style of the show. If you need help choosing a song please email [email protected]
Those who are asked to sing again at callbacks will perform a song provided from the show.
Printed sheet music can be provided at auditions/callbacks.
Dance
Each block will consist of a dance call with a combination taught by the choreographer. Please bring appropriate dance clothes to change into after your vocal audition.

VIDEO AUDITIONS
Video auditions may be submitted through the Casting Manager website. Videos are due by Thursday, August 27 at 10pm.
IMPORTANT INFO
Rehearsals will begin October 19. Breaks will be taken for the holidays. A tentative rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.
Performances will be January 8-24, 2027 at The Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
