Lunch Stop: Leon Nixon’s Buffet
Description of ride:
Join us for a fun and scenic ride! We’ll roll out of Chesapeake, heading west to Suffolk before continuing south into North Carolina via I64, I664, and Route 58—because every great ride deserves a little highway warmup before the fun begins.
Our first stop is Royal Farms on Portsmouth Blvd to link up with more riders. From there, we’ll ditch the straight lines for back roads along the edge of the Dismal Swamp, then cruise through Wiggins Crossroads and into Gatesville for a quick stretch break.
Next, we’ll wind our way along scenic roads near the Chowan River into Edenton for lunch at Leon Nixon’s Buffet (aiming to arrive around 11:00 AM—recommend you bring cash).
After lunch: We’ll point the bikes north on Route 17 and stop in Elizabeth City to refuel both machines and possibly riders again. Then it’s back on 17 to Business 17 for a final stop at the Dismal Swamp Rest Area (Mile Post 4). Riders are then free to break off and head home at their convenience.
Come out for great roads, great views, and great company… because everything’s better on two wheels.
NOTES:
*Show up with full gas tank
*Dress for the weather
*Bring EZ Pass
*This is a closed event for Ironclad HOG Chapter members and 1 guest per member.
*NO IMPAIRING SUBSTANCES allowed during a Chapter ride.
*Riders should also be free of the effects of any impairing substance during a Chapter ride.
