Ready to earn some serious bragging rights? Join us September 4–7, 2026 for a four‑day riding adventure as we chase curves, elevation changes, and legendary roads in our quest to become Dragon Masters.
To claim the title, riders must complete all four routes in the Dragon Series. On this trip, we’ll be tackling three epic Dragons close to home:🔥 Head of the Dragon 🔥 Back of the Dragon 🔥 Claw of the Dragon
Two of these legendary routes are right here in Virginia, with another just across the border in West Virginia—all packed with twisty pavement, breathtaking scenery, and roads that demand your full attention.
🐲 The fourth route—the infamous Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina and Tennessee—is a must‑ride for any serious motorcyclist. If you haven’t ridden it yet, trust us…it’s worth the trip. We’ll save that beast for another adventure. The Tail of the Dragon will not be part of this journey.

🛣️ Ride Overview:
🗓️ Day 1 – Travel Day to Tazewell Mostly interstate riding: I‑64 → I‑81 → I‑77, followed by some back roads into Tazewell. We’ll stop about every 60 to 80 minutes, including lunch around the midway point, and will likely visit a couple of dealerships for challenge photos and check‑ins.
🗓️ Day 2 – Head of the Dragon 🐉 (West Virginia) We’ll head into WV to ride the Head of the Dragon, stop for photos at the official check‑in location, grab lunch (and probably ice cream 😄), and visit a dealership in Bluefield. Time permitting, we may stop at Burke’s Garden to visit the legendary General Store
🗓️ Day 3 – Back & Claw of the Dragon 🐉🐉 We’ll ride both the Back of the Dragon and the Claw of the Dragon, with plenty of scenic photo opportunities along the way.
Each night we’ll return to Tazewell, where there’s no shortage of food, drinks, and stories—including visits to the Back of the Dragon Brewery and other great spots along Main Street.
🗓️ Day 4 – Ride Home. We’ll meet in The Traveler on Main parking lot at 8:00 AM, have a quick safety brief, and then begin our ride home. From there, we’ll work our way back to I‑77, head toward Hillsville, VA, and merge onto Route 58, riding it all the way back to the Hampton Roads area. We’ll stop every 60-80 minutes, to include lunch around the halfway point and a possible dealership check-in.
The group ride will officially conclude once we merge onto I‑664, and everyone can head home at their own pace.
This ride is all about challenging roads, unforgettable scenery, great riding partners, and checking off legendary routes together.
