About this Event
Step into the flickering glow by the firelight and journey deep into the untold shadows of British Columbia's past.
Authors Gina Armstrong and Victoria Vancek share haunting tales and hidden histories. Surrounded by the flicker of lanterns, together we'll unearth the secrets. From ghost towns to gold rush whispers, mysterious creatures, and lingering phantoms, each story beckons with the allure of voices long forgotten. As the night deepens, so does the mystery —what parts are real, and what has been conjured from the smoke?
Come closer and join us on this adventure...if you dare.
Friday, November 14th from 7:30 PM - 9 PM
Registration Required. $20 Per Person.

About Coquitlam Heritage Society & Mackin House:
Coquitlam Heritage Society (CHS) is a non-profit museum and archive run out of Mackin House - a 1909 Heritage House located in Maillardville (the largest historic French-speaking community in Western Canada). We started our operations around June 1993 with the initial objectives of restoring Mackin House and turning it into a heritage house museum. We've been open as a museum to the public ever since.
Today, CHS offers numerous services to Coquitlam’s residents including hosting exhibits in Mackin House and surrounding community partners, offering seasonal tours of the Fraser Mills Train Station (the original method of immigration into Coquitlam!) and a 1970s Train Caboose in Heritage Square, and regularly hosting workshops and community events.
Our collection includes local artifacts of importance as well as the oral histories of community members, making our collection an evolving mosaic that reflects our city.
