Legacy in Motion: Black Maternal Health Walk

Join us for Legacy in Motion, hosted by A Home From Shana Foundation and Public Health Jawn LLC, a community Bridge Walk held in honor of Black Maternal Health Week. This meaningful gathering brings together families, birth workers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and community members to raise awareness about Black maternal health, uplift lived experiences, and honor the lives of mothers, babies, and families.

Black Maternal Health Week, recognized nationally by Black Mamas Matter Alliance, centers the voices of Black women and calls for action to advance birth equity and improve maternal health outcomes. Legacy in Motion is an opportunity to move in solidarity, remember those we have lost, celebrate families, and commit to healthier futures for our communities.

Registration: 9:00 AM

Walk Begins: 9:30 AM

Location: Bridge pedestrian walkway

Following the walk, participants are invited to stay for refreshments and a community resource fair featuring local organizations, maternal health advocates, and wellness partners.

This family-friendly event welcomes all ages. We encourage comfortable walking shoes, strollers, and team participation as we come together in movement, remembrance, and action.
