Join us Wednesday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m. for a lecture, “Bringing Joseph & His Brothers Back: Conserving an 1898 Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company Window,” by Brianne Van Vorst, Principal at Liberty Stained Glass Conservation. In her lecture, Van Vorst will discuss the conservation of one of seven Tiffany windows in the Briarcliff Congregational Church in New York’s Hudson River Valley. Van Vorst holds an MA in Stained Glass Conservation and Cultural Management from the University of York in York, England, and worked with the York Glaziers Trust on the conservation of York Minster’s Great East Window. Her consulting firm Liberty Stained Glass Conservation opened in 2016.
Museum lectures focus on topics related to its collection and exhibitions. Programs take place at 2:30 p.m. (doors open at 2:00 p.m.) on selected Wednesdays in the Jeannette G. and Hugh F. McKean Pavilion, 161 West Canton Avenue (just behind the Museum).
