You MUST have either a current NSW Drivers Licence (you wont need a TfNSW Customer number if you have a Valid NSW DRivers Licence)

a TfNSW customer number. If you don't have a Drivers Licence or a TfNSW customer number, do not continue with this booking. Go to Service NSW and get a TfNSW customer number otherwise you will be ineligible to attend the course and you may be turned away on the day of your training. PROOF OF IDENTITY (POI)
ON THE DAY OF YOUR COURSE - You will be deemed as a failure of your course if you do not have one of the following forms of Proof of Identity on the day and you will not be entitled to a refund. You need to bring Proof of Identity (P0I) in one of these formats:
1. A Current NSW Drivers Licence - Note – Digital DL is accepted as long as you are able to present it on your own smart phone and it is on the Service NSW app and it is verified by our riding instructor as being current and valid
OR
2. A TfNSW Photo Card - (this can be obtained from Service NSW if you are over 16 years of age and do not have a current NSW Drivers Licence) - NOTE - you must still have a valid TfNSW customer number - a TfNSW photo card number and a TfNSW Customer Number are not the same thing.

About the Pre-Learner course - This is a 2 day course - each day being half a day
It is held over 2 consecutive days, for 3.5 hours each day. Motorcycles, helmets and gloves are all provided at the training centre.
Due to Covid 19, students may bring their own helmet, gloves and wet weather gear, but this is not compulsory as we do supply these on your course.
If you do bring your own helmet, it must must be an approved helmet and in good condition. Your gloves must also be in good condition.
This is an Afternoon Course
Day 1 – 12:00pm– 3:30pm
Day 2 - 12:00pm– 3:30pm
The Pre-Learner course is a competency based course, with pass/fail criteria. You’ll only be permitted to continue riding if you’ve passed all of the competencies, in order.
When you pass, you’ll be issued with a Certificate of Competency (COC), which you’ll need to take with you to a Service NSW centre and then do your rider knowledge test on their computer.
The Pre-Learner Course is held in all weather conditions – rain, hail or shine.
You’ll need to pay the course fee at the time of this booking, so you'll need a credit card to book.
Important: If you wish to learn to ride a motor scooter, please choose this option when you make the booking and it will be reserved for you. If this option is not available, it means that the scooter has already been hired out. You will need to choose a different course date.
Changing your booking
You can only change your booking by contacting our office on 55046910 or emailing us at [email protected] - This can be done up to 7 days prior to the commencement of your course. No changes or cancellations or refunds can be made within 7 days of the commencement of your course.
Requirements
You need to be at least 16 years and 6 months old to attend a Pre-Learner course.
Note though that you can’t apply for your learner rider licence at Service NSW until you are 16 years and 9 months old.
The Certificate of Competence you receive when you successfully complete the course is valid for 3 months.
Course fee refunds
There are no refunds in the following situations:
• Lateness in attending the course
• Proof of identity issues
• Delays caused by traffic or motor vehicle incidents
• Bad weather conditions
• If you cancel within 7 days of the commencement of your course
• Non-attendance for any reason
ON THE DAY OF YOUR COURSE
Riding a motorcycle requires a high level of balance, co-ordination and concentration, and not everyone has these skills. The Pre-Learner Course is designed with specific learning exercises that must be completed to a scheduled time table.
For your own safety and the safety of others, the instructor may stop you from riding during the course. If you’re stopped from riding, the instructor will advise you of the best way to proceed with your training.
Plan to arrive at the course location at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. If you arrive after the course has started, you will not be allowed to join the course. Course fees are not refundable in this situation.

You need to wear the following or you will not be able to join the course and you will not be entitled to a refund:
• Jeans, leather or other sturdy long pants (skin must be covered)
• Long sleeved shirt or a long sleeved leather, denim or other sturdy long sleeved jacket (skin must be covered)
• Boots or sturdy fully enclosed shoes that preferably provide ankle protection
• Eye protection (sunglasses or glasses)
Motorcycles, helmets and gloves will all be provided by the training center, however, you may feel more comfortable using your own helmet and gloves. See notes on this above.
Please bring a hat for sun protection.

You MUST declare the following
I will be 16 years and 6 months of age or older on the date of the course.
I can provide satisfactory Proof of Identity to meet Fine Line Rider Training Course requirements (see details above under Proof of Identity)
I can pass an eyesight test.
I do not have a disability or medical condition that may affect my ability to learn to ride a motorcycle, or I can provide a Medical Fit to Ride Report stating that I am fit to ride with my particular disability e.g. autism, anxiety etc(contact Service NSW on how to get Medical Fit to Ride Report). If I have a hearing disability I understand that I must contact Fine Line prior to doing this course and meet certain criteria before attendance of the course.
I understand that motorcycle riding is inherently dangerous and could lead to serious injury or death. By continuing with this booking I accept that I am engaging in this activity at my own risk.
Additional Privacy Policy
We may disclose your Personal information to Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to advise TfNSW that you have undertaken rider training and testing and our observations and outcomes. TfNSW may use and disclose that personal information in connection with driver licencing and road safety purposes.
I agree with all of the above statements, which form part of the Terms and Conditions of my Booking and will proceed to answer Yes on my booking form with regard to accepting the Terms and Conditions of this booking. (This question must be answered Yes in the questions on your booking form to continue with your On Line Booking). If you answer Yes, you are agreeing that you meet all of the requirements listed. If you continue with your booking and on the day of the course you do not meet these requirements, you will not be able to complete your Pre-Learner Course and YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND
