AI tools now make it possible to build apps faster than ever before, even with little coding experience. But without the right setup, it’s also easy to create security risks, expose sensitive data, or generate unexpected costs.

In this practical 45-minute live session, attendees will build a simple AI-powered app alongside the instructor. Together, you’ll explore how AI app development works, test common mistakes intentionally, and learn simple best practices for building apps safely and securely.

Designed for beginners and non-technical professionals, this hands-on session is an accessible introduction to building with AI.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop and follow along live.

Who should attend:

Business professionals who've already built something with AI and want to make it safe, and people who haven't built anything yet but want to start the right way. Mixed levels welcome.

⏱ Duration: 1 hour (room will be open 15 minutes prior to start time)

Session Objectives:

• - Build a small app properly from scratch
• Spot the security flaws hiding in your own AI-built projects
• Fix the four mistakes that destroy most vibe-coded apps
• Tick off an 11-point checklist before anything you build goes live
  

Session Agenda:

• - Why your front-end code is visible to the entire internet (and what to do about it)
• Moving API keys and prompts off the front end
• Login, permissions, and stopping users seeing each other's data
• Rate limiting before someone empties your bank account
• Prompt injection and how to defend against it
• The package that doesn't exist (and how attackers exploit that)
