Learn to crochet, read a crochet pattern and make a 'granny' square
About this Event

In this workshop, you'll not only learn how to do the major crochet stitches but how to read the different types of crochet patterns, and follow a pattern to make a 'granny square'.

We'll also show you how to join your squares into a simple 'granny square' rug or a small tote bag. In fact, there are endless ways you can use your granny squares and we'll show you more examples such as a smart vest.

By the end of this workshop series, you'll have the basic skills of crochet, ready to start your own crochet projects!

****

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners (of any age over 16).

For left-handers, we have a special One on One sessions with our left-handed crocheter, Trish. If this is of interest please contact us directly.

****

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a 4-4.5mm crochet hook and 2-3 different coloured balls of 10ply yarn you'd like to use so you can then keep practising at home.

The ReDress Hub has odd balls of wool you can also purchase, but otherwise, we recommend doing a charity shop crawl for your materials as you will almost certainly find what you need without buying them new.

****

How do I book?

Click on the first date of the series and select your Series ticket.

We also have a Payment Installment Plan to help spread your payments over a longer time frame. To book your place select the INSTALLMENT PLAN: Reserve Ticket and to make the final installment payment, go to Add-Ons and select your ticket payment.

Group bookings:

The workshops at The ReDress Hub are perfect for group bookings - sharing these experiences with a group of friends, family or colleagues can not only create memorable occasions but are also perfect for sharing laughs, ideas and resources between you.

If you bring a group of 5+ people we'll not only offer you a group discount, but organise some special treats for you all to enjoy. Please contact us directly for more details.
