Join the headspace Work & Study Workshops! (ages 12-25)
March 16th: Maintaining a healthy headspace during challenging work & study times
Join us for a practical and empowering workshop designed just for young people navigating work, study, and everything in between. We know these are challenging times — juggling expectations, figuring out your next steps, and trying to keep a healthy headspace can feel overwhelming. That’s why this session is all about giving you the tools, confidence, and support to move forward. We’ll explore how to maintain a positive mindset, the surprising mental‑health benefits that work and study can bring, and real‑world tips to help you handle the tricky moments. You’ll walk away with strategies you can use straight away, plus information on where to get support when you need it. Come along, connect with others, build your strengths, and leave feeling more prepared for what’s next!
March 23rd: Resume & cover letter writing
In this workshop, you will learn how to create a resume and cover letter that stand out to employers. We will explore what to include, how to highlight your skills and experiences (even if you don’t have much work history yet), and how to tailor your application for different jobs. You will get practical tips, real examples, and time to start building or updating your documents in a supportive space. You also receive one-on-one resume support, giving you personalised feedback, help with wording, and the confidence to apply for opportunities. By the end of the workshop, you leave with a stronger understanding of job applications and a resume you can keep developing for future roles!
March 30th: Career exploration workshop
In this workshop, you will take their first steps in exploring future career options in a supportive and practical way. They reflect on their interests, skills, and values, learn how to research different industries, and explore current job market trends to understand where opportunities exist. You will also discover where to go for help and capture their ideas, goals, and next steps in their Career Action Plan, leaving with greater confidence and a clear direction for their career journey!
