Learn the Art of Mosaic Series: Mosaic Heart

Join us for a fun and creative in-person workshop. Using a special no grout technique, participants will make an 8" mosaic heart artwork. Workshop will focus on specific tecniques for no-grout mosaic work. We will cover design strategies, cutting techniques and use a variety of materials from broken plates to stained glass to create a truly unique heart. All levels of experience welcome.

Materials fee $20 due at beginning of workshop. Cash, Venmo or Zelle accepted.

About:

Luz and Dawn have each created mosaic art for over two decades. Their passion for creating art and collaborative work is brought to life through a great friendship and creative partnership. Luz started her art career in all things glass and Dawn began by learning pique assiette, a style of mosaic that incorporates repurposed materials. Using this combination of stained glass techniques along with incorporating recycled ceramics into mosaic is a specialty that brings their talents together. They have made over a dozen large scale projects and countless small commissions, and especially enjoy sharing their love of mosaic with others through workshops and community projects.
