Learn the Art of Mosaic Series: Mosaic Exterior Plant Wall Relief

Join us in person for a fun and creative workshop! Get hands-on experience creating a beautiful 6” x 9” mosaic garden wall relief using the unique style of pique assiette (recycled materials). Participants will learn the specific techniques for creating mosaic in exterior spaces. Workshop will cover design strategies, cutting techniques and using a variety of materials--from broken plates to stained glass--to create beautiful garden art. All levels of experience welcome. No grouting in this class.

Materials fee $30 due at beginning of workshop. Cash, Venmo or Zelle accepted.

About:

Luz and Dawn have each created mosaic art for over two decades. Their passion for creating art and collaborative work is brought to life through a great friendship and creative partnership. Luz started her art career in all things glass and Dawn began by learning pique assiette, a style of mosaic that incorporates repurposed materials. Using this combination of stained glass techniques along with incorporating recycled ceramics into mosaic is a specialty that brings their talents together. They have made over a dozen large scale projects and countless small commissions, and especially enjoy sharing their love of mosaic with others through workshops and community projects.
