Law as a tool for global commons futures
About this Event
The first Öresund international law workshop was organised in 2018 as a collaboration intended to bring together international law researchers at universities in the Öresund region to discuss matters of common interest and deepen collaborative relationships.
This year’s workshop theme has been shaped by work undertaken through the WMU-Sasakawa Global Ocean Institute "Future Ocean Programme: Combatting the Triple Planetary Crisis in Areas beyond National Jurisdiction". It takes place within the framework established by the Lund University Faculty of Law and WMU Memorandum of Understanding.
The workshop examines contemporary attempts to use law as a tool to construct desirable futures for, and in, global commons.
