Launch of the Compassionate Leadership Pledge

Join us on November 18th from 2-5pm at The King’s Fund for the international launch of the Compassionate Leadership Pledge, a global initiative aimed at transforming health and social care through compassionate leadership.

This event is a collaboration between Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), The Global Compassion Coalition (GCC), and The King’s Fund, each committed to promoting compassionate cultures in healthcare worldwide. Over the past four years, HEIW has led the development of compassionate leadership across health and social care in Wales, sharing tools, resources, and best practices globally. The GCC, with over 130,000 members, is supporting compassionate healthcare initiatives, particularly in the Global South, while The King’s Fund has been advancing compassionate healthcare leadership for over a decade.

At the event, you’ll hear from leaders and influencers who are driving this movement and gain access to a wealth of resources to support compassionate leadership development. You’ll also have the opportunity to sign the Compassionate Leadership Pledge, aligning with seven leadership principles, and join an international community working together to improve care quality, staff well-being, and patient outcomes.
