Join us on October 1st for "Missouri during the Civil War: A Citizen's Perspective"
The Civil War was not a distant battleground for Missourians. Citizens experience martial law, loyalty oaths, military districting, and guerrilla warfare firsthand. Joe Amsden, interpretive aide at the Missouri State Museum, takes a look into military operations and civilian tensions throughout Missouri during the war.
