About this Event
This beginner fly fishing class designed for women focuses on creating a supportive, low-pressure environment where newcomers can learn at their own pace. Instructors start with the fundamentals—how to assemble a rod and reel, tie basic knots, and understand essential gear—before moving into casting techniques. Expect hands-on practice with guidance on proper stance, timing, and line control. These classes also introduce the basics of reading water, identifying fish habitats, and understanding local regulations, making the experience both practical and approachable. This event is intended for women ages 18 and over.
