No matter where you are delivering your baby, whether you want to go natural or plan to have an epidural, you will have some time during your labor where you will have to manage through contractions unmedicated. This class is designed for pregnant moms, partnered or not, focusing on both unmedicated labor at home and in the hospital setting. Partners are welcome to join, or whoever you plan to use as birth support.
Educational topics include: the role of the partner/support person, early labor and pain management techniques at home, active labor and transition to the hospital, special comfort measures for an unmedicated birth, managing the emotional journey of labor, coping with the unexpected, and putting together a birth plan.
This class will be facilitated by Jenny Byrd, CPM. Jenny is a local midwife serving the Chattanooga, Tennessee, and North Georgia area.
