Baby Basics is the perfect class for new and expecting parents who want to feel more confident in caring for their newborn. Taught by an experienced NICU nurse, this hands-on class will cover essential newborn care topics—including what to expect in the early days, how to swaddle safely, change a diaper, and dress your baby (yes, even those tiny onesies!). Whether you're feeling excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, Baby Basics will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to help you start your parenting journey with confidence.
Baby Basics is led by Kris Merritt, a NICU nurse at Erlanger East. With a passion for caring for newborns and supporting families, Kris brings both expertise and warmth to every class, helping parents feel prepared, empowered, and encouraged as they begin their journey with a new baby.
