Welcome to Knowing You, an exciting, hands-on documentary photography and videography project designed to help you tell stories that matter to you and your community.

Whether you want to learn how to capture striking images, explore moving video narratives, or simply try something creative, this project gives you the tools, skills, and freedom to bring your unique perspective to life.

What the Project Provides

This entirely free program is structured to give you a full, enriching creative experience from day one. By joining us, you will get access to:

• Free Photography & Videography Workshops: Hands-on sessions covering everything from camera basics to powerful visual storytelling.
• Develop a Photography Portfolio: Create a stunning, professional body of original artwork that you can keep and use for the future.
• Learn from Experienced Photojournalists: Work directly alongside industry professionals who will share insider tips, techniques, and feedback.
• Cultural Visits: Take learning outside the classroom with inspiring group field trips and gallery visits.

The Grand Finale: A Public Exhibition

Your hard work deserves to be seen! The project culminates in a Photography Exhibition, where your original artwork and stories will be publicly showcased to celebrate your creativity and share your vision with the wider community.

Who Can Join?

This project is completely free to attend and is open to residents within the Hammersmith & Fulham council looking to learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and build social connections. No prior photography experience or expensive equipment is required, just your curiosity and a story to tell. We particularly welcome those residents that have moved into the borough.
