About this Event

Amy leads on conservation work at Walthamstow Wetlands, and she’ll take you off the beaten track to find out about the nature recovery work happening on site.

With access to areas usually closed to the public, you’ll discover what we’re doing to help migratory birds, which reptiles are being recorded on site, and how our work is attracting rare bees.

In September, the work focuses largely on meadows and reedbeds, so there’ll be plenty to see on this early autumn walk.

What to expect

🦆 An expert-led tour of the wetlands.

🥾 Access areas that are usually off-limits.

🌱 Find out how nature conservation works in practice.

The species on our reserve are wild, so we can’t guarantee particular sightings. However, this unpredictability is all part of the joy of nature!

All proceeds from this event enable London Wildlife Trust's mission of nature recovery for a thriving city.
