About this Event
- March, April & May 2025
Join us for a spring series of creative workshops at Channelsea River featuring bacterial poetry, underwater listening, river rights & more!
For the next three Spring eco gatherings we will be facilitating a special workshop series with Blanc Sceol (Hannah White & Stephen Shiell) and Coneffluents (Jac Common & Katy Lewis Hood). The workshops will bring together poetry, microbiology, sound and listening practices, legal texts, and print and radio media.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A regular monthly meet up to tend to the Long Wall Ecology Garden, on the banks of the Channelsea river, embedding ourselves in the site as stewards for the already existing ecosystems that thrive there, and observing how we can learn from those living systems and offer our services to reciprocate all that they offer to us.
There is always litter to pick up, so we will start there for each session! Then discuss our plans already underway to plant fruit trees and build a compost toilet, and other ideas that could benefit the area.
We are also installing a new green engine for our safety boat so we plan to extend this stewardship onto the waterways for future sessions too.
All welcome! Drop in anytime between 11am & 1pm, and sign up here to let us know you'll be coming down.
