Kinusaiga (きぬさiga), often referred to as "no-sew quilting" or "silk painting," is a contemporary Japanese art form where fabric scraps—traditionally from old silk kimonos—are pressed into pre-cut grooves on a backing material to create intricate, textured imagesIn this no-sew fabric collage workshop, you’ll create a beautiful, textured piece of art using layered fabrics, papers, and decorative elements — brought together with the design to bring your creativity out.
This is a mindful, gentle creative experience designed for relaxation, reflection, and self-expression — no sewing skills needed and absolutely no pressure to be “perfect”.
Foam will be pre-covered in a self-adhesive backing
A few Designs to choose from, which will be pre-cut into the foam
You will then have access to beautiful scraps of fancy fabrics and trimmings, to turn the seemly boring foam to your own magical "kinusaiga" art work.
