Turn memories into art using photos, keepsakes, and recycled materials in this free junk journaling workshop for ages 5+
About this Event

Discover the art of creative storytelling through Junk Journaling with Artist Brianna Townsend.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will transform recycled papers, packaging, textures, and everyday materials into expressive mixed-media collage boards. Using flat canvas boards as their foundation, attendees will explore layering, composition, color, and personal storytelling while creating artwork that reflects their own memories, experiences, and creativity.

Guests are welcome to bring meaningful mementos such as photographs, ticket stubs, receipts, greeting cards, quotes, or other flat keepsakes they would like to incorporate into their artwork. While all materials will be provided, these personal items can help make each piece even more unique.

Led by artist Brianna Townsend, this workshop encourages experimentation, self-expression, and creative play rather than perfection.

No prior experience is required. Ages 5+.
