Jewelry 101 | Workshop & Mini Retreat!

JEWELRY 101 MINI RETREAT ~ Make your own jewellery and craft the necklace and earrings (or bracelet) of your dreams! Whether you love big, bold pieces or delicate charm, both styles are connected by the same basic skills. In this introductory workshop, you'll learn to use essential jewellery materials and pliers for assembly and wire wrapping. Take home your extra materials and tools for more practice, or use them to make basic repairs to jewellery you already own.

What you'll learn:

+ Names of basic jewellery tools and parts

+ How to use clasps, jump rings, and different types of connectors

+ Wire wrapping

+ Choosing beads and colour theory 101

What you'll make:

+ A necklace

+ A pair of earrings OR a bracelet

What you'll take home:

+ Your finished creations

+ A set of three jewellery pliers

+ A kit of "findings" and assorted beads to make more jewellery

+ An instruction booklet that covers the basics

*Choose from stainless steel or gold-plated materials. Bring your own beads, or choose from Emily's selection of beads in all shapes and sizes from around the world.
