Sew through Style: Make Your Own Jelly Zipper PouchWhat you will need:
One or more rolls of your favorite Jelly Vinyl Color, available at Gina’s Bernina.
By Annie zippers or equivalent with pulls, at least 24 inches long. No metal zippers. We will only be using one side of the zipper tape.
byAnnie’s double sided basting tape.
Rulers, rotary cutter, mat, clips, marking pen, and basic sewing supplies.
50 weight polyester thread such as Mettler metrosene.
Size 70/10 Microtex sharp sewing machine needle.
Top stitch foot and basic sewing foot. Bernina #10, 10C or 10D and Bernina #1, 1C or 1D.
1-1/2” x WOF for binding from a coordinating fabric. Clover bias tape maker #18 (red). Best Press.
Your sewing machine with the necessary accessories.
Prior to Class:
Cut the 1-1/2” by Width of Fabric from your coordinating fabric. Use best press on the fabric to make it stiffer as it will work better for your project. Make your binding and have it ready to go.
You will be given a handout for assembly instructions. No pattern required.
You may have time to make a second pouch during class, since these are easy to make. If you decide to, you will need to cut another strip of coordinating fabric for the binding. The other side of the zipper tape from your first pouch can be used for the second pouch.
