The celebration will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 11:00 am commencing with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Members of the local community, family, and friends are warmly invited to tour the facility, meet the styling team, and experience a new era of inclusive community hair care.
J'Da Beauty Bar is the realization of a lifelong ambition for owner and lead stylist Aneekie Lawrence. Driven by an enduring passion for business and the beauty industry, Lawrence graduated from the prestigious Award Beauty School in December 2024. Displaying a rigorous dedication to her craft, she successfully passed her State Board examination in February, immediately turning her undivided focus toward launching an independent storefront that serves the diverse fabric of Hagerstown.
"I have always had entrepreneurship on my mind, but more importantly, I wanted to build a business that brings joy and dignity to people at every stage of life," said Aneekie Lawrence, Owner of J'Da Beauty Bar. Hair is deeply personal. Whether it is a young professional looking for fresh extensions, a child getting cornrows, or a senior resident who cannot easily leave their room, everyone deserves to look and feel their absolute best.
