About this Event

Join us on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, as Washington County Historical Society Executive Director, Andy Stout presents, "The Archeology of Springfield Farm," a talk reporting on WCHS's recent archeology project at the site.

WCHS, in partnership with the Town of Williamsport, and with funding support from the Maryland Historic Trust, conducted the first ever archeological survey of the Springfield Farm site, a karst topography spring complex where thousands of years of human activity unfolded. Mr. Stout will present his findings for the first time during this presentation.

Culture & Cocktails is generously sponsored by the James & Mary Schurz Foundation. C&C is held on the second Friday of each month from 6:00-8:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Refreshments and one complimentary drink ticket are included with each ticket.

This month's cocktail will be announced in July!

Zoom Ticket Admission:

This C&C talk will also be available to view over Zoom rather than an in-person ticket. Zoom tickets are $5.00. When purchasing a Zoom ticket, please use an email address that you can access to receive your Zoom link.

After purchasing your Zoom ticket, you will receive a Zoom link during the week prior to the talk on July 10, 2026. The Zoom waiting room for the talk will open on Friday, July 10, at 5:45 PM. Once you enter the Zoom waiting room, you will be admitted to the Zoom meeting. We ask that you keep your audio muted and video off while joining over Zoom.

If you have any questions about purchasing a Zoom ticket or details for viewing the talk over Zoom, please call (301) 797-8782 or email [email protected].
