Death is a certainty—and preparing for it is an act of faith.
This sisters-only workshop is designed to provide Muslim women with both theoretical understanding and practical skills related to death and Janazah rites in Islam. Whether you are attending for the first time or seeking to deepen your understanding, this session offers a respectful and supportive learning environment.
What You’ll Learn
Participants will gain insight into:
- Step-by-step guidance on performing ghusl (ritual washing) for the deceased
- Kaffan cutting and proper shrouding techniques
- Discussions and reflections from the ghusl team
Facilitators
This workshop will be facilitated by The Akram Jomaa Ghusl Team, a group of dedicated sisters who regularly wash and shroud deceased women, bringing practical experience and compassionate guidance.
