A free, small-group course for anyone wanting to improve basic navigation and map-reading skills.Weāll cover:
ā¢ Understanding a map
ā¢ Orientating map to ground
ā¢ Measuring distance
ā¢ The magic number
If time allows, we may also touch on basic compass skills.

8:30am ā 1:00pm

Once full, a waiting list will be started.
This course is free (although coffee and cake are always welcome šāš°).
Youāll need:
ā¢ OS Explorer OL14 map
ā¢ Compass with measuring guide and magnifier
