This fun, introductory scent work workshop introduces dogs to the exciting world of nosework and the power of their natural scenting abilities. Dogs will be introduced to one target odor and will begin learning how to confidently search for and find that odor through engaging, reward-based search games designed to build curiosity, focus, and drive.
Each session is designed to keep dogs actively engaged while building enthusiasm for searching and hunting in a way that feels rewarding and motivating. Nosework is a fantastic outlet for all types of dogs—especially those who may be nervous or shy in new environments, helping build confidence at their own pace, as well as dogs with lots of energy who benefit from a focused and structured mental job.
Teams will also learn simple skills they can practice at home to continue building understanding and confidence with the target odor in preparation for future classes. This workshop turns your dog’s natural hunting instinct into a fun, purposeful game that builds confidence, focus, and excitement every time they search.
Prerequisite: No prior nosework experience required. Dogs should be comfortable working around food rewards and in a group training environment.
