About this event
Curious about growing plants using hydroponics? Want to attend Introduction to Hydroponic Systems for Home & Small-Scale Growers in Anderson, SC, without making the drive to the Upstate?
Join Vicky Bertagnolli at the Aiken County Clemson Extension office as she hosts a live simulcast of this one-hour introductory class. Participants will enjoy the same live instruction but delivered by remote experts and broadcast to us in the comfort of our local Aiken County Clemson Extension venue.
We’ll connect with Clemson Extension Horticulture Agent Samantha Brown and Dr. Lance Beecher for an introduction to hydroponics (a method of growing plants using water, nutrients, and controlled environments).
Participants will learn how hydroponic systems work, explore the different types of systems available, discover which crops grow best, and discuss key management considerations such as water quality, nutrients, and lighting.
What is a simulcast?
A simulcast is a live event that takes place at one location and is broadcast live at another.
For this event, the speakers will be presenting live from Anderson, SC. They will be presenting in real time, but they will not be physically in the same room as you.
Instead, you will join other attendees at the Aiken County Clemson Extension office to watch and hear the speakers and presenters in real time on a large screen. This is an in-person viewing experience; not one you watch alone on your personal device.
