Intro to Fox Chasing Clinic

Come learn all about riding to hounds and the art of Fox Chasing, from attire and etiquette to skills needed by horse and rider to ride across country.
If you’ve always wanted to try fox hunting, the Learn to Hunt clinic is a great start! Under the direction of the Huntsman and the Masters of the Marlborough Hunt club, participants will attend both mounted and unmounted sessions designed to introduce the basics of hunting, including etiquette in the field, proper attire and tack, and under saddle exercises that simulate hunt conditions.
Horses/riders of any age, any discipline who walk, trot, and canter with control welcome.
We will start with a brief introduction and safety check. Please have horses tacked up, but remain unmounted. Then we will divide into 3 groups based on skill level. The group leaders
w ill review tactics and maneuvers to safely navigate riding in a ‘field’. After we introduce the horses to hounds, we will hold an unmounted educational session, followed by a cookout.
