Info: Join Asawana Farms and The Peacock House for A Day in the Farm, a free, family-friendly celebration of food, culture, nature, and community.
This year’s theme, Food as Medicine, honors the wisdom of our ancestors and the healing power of culturally meaningful foods grown locally in Prince George’s County.
Enjoy a farm tour, potluck, cooking demo, juicing with fresh Asawana Farms produce, raffles, networking, and family fun. Featured crops may include bitter leaf, bitter melon, callaloo, okra, and other organic African specialty crops.
Come celebrate five years of Asawana Farms growing food from the Motherland for the diaspora and the wider community.
