This course is great place to start your cake journey or brush up your skills to get that perfect bake and finish.
You will learn how to get that smooth finish with using sugarpaste for a cake suitable for all occasions.
You will also learn how to use buttercream and to create fun designs for the top of your cake using cutters.
We will give you baking tips on how to make the perfect cake - on this course we will be using a 7" freshly baked Madeira cake.
You will:
- Learn about sugarpaste and the different types available to you and how best to use it and store it
- Learn to level and prepare your cake for covering with sugarpaste
- Learn how to prepare your cake with buttercream
- Learn to cover your cake with sugarpste to get the perfect finish
- Learn to use a selection of cutters to create simple designs
- Learn to cover your board
- Learn to attach the ribbon to the board
At the end of the course you will take home your boxed cake creation with full comprehensive notes.
