International Yoga Day Event in Willen Lake North at The Maze Milton Keynes

Get ready to stretch, breathe, and relax at the beautiful Willen Lake North, right by The Maze in Milton Keynes. This is a unique in-person event where you can meet fellow yoga lovers and celebrate together. The event welcomes everyone, beginners, yoga curious, yoga sceptics, life-long students, teachers and lovers of the outdoors activities. This year we are focusing on removing all barriers - economic, cultural and misconceptions about yoga. By coming together, we want to show all residents - especially those who have been unwell for a while - that there are alternative ways of looking after your mental health. Yoga practice brings numerous benefits for the body and nervous system, as well as a new understanding of how to live a healthy and conscious life.

In the previous years participants were able to choose from 20 sessions, free for those who cannot afford to pay, and donation-based for those who see the value in supporting this 100% independent initiative!

20 local wellbeing professionals work around the clock, with meetings and main load of the event organisation taking place over 6 months in the run up to the event in order to make this day happen. We do it out of dharma (duty, righteousness) and karma (selfless work) which are at the very heart of traditional yoga teachings. The organisers have always relied on donations as well as funds from vendors and sponsors to cover the event costs.
