Celebrate International Women’s Day with a guided ritual of heat, creative writing, and coastal connection. Led by Rachel-Jane, this session is an invitation to honour the sisterhood and celebrate the "grit and glory" of womanhood in all its forms.
We’ve designed this afternoon to move from deep relaxation into meaningful reflection, using the elements of fire, sea, and stone to mark the day.
The Experience Includes:
One Hour of Wood-Fired Heat We begin in the sauna. This hour is for you to arrive, settle, and let the warmth relax your body and mind. By starting with the heat, we "melt" away the outside world, leaving you feeling grounded and ready for the creative session ahead.
An Intentional Shoreline Walk Following a short introduction from Rachel-Jane, you’ll head out for a 10-minute solo walk along the beach. You’ll be invited to scavenge for three specific objects, tokens from the tide that represent different parts of your journey.
Guided Creative Writing Rachel-Jane, a Fife-based director and theatre maker, will lead the group through 20 minutes of gentle, guided writing. This isn’t about being a "writer"; it’s about using simple prompts to notice where you are right now and celebrating the resilience and joy of the women around you.
A Ritual of the Elements We will move through a symbolic ritual to release the old and invite in the new. Together, we will cast intentions into the sea, smash shells to break through old barriers, and commit our words to the fire. It’s a tactile, powerful way to mark the day.
Chai & Sea-Salt Brownies We’ll close the session by coming back together to share some homemade treats. We’ll have hot, spiced chai and sea-salt brownies, the perfect blend of sweet and salt to match the "grit and glory" of the day.
About your guide – Rachel-Jane is a Fife-based director and theatre maker known for creating safe, supportive, and imaginative spaces. She specialises in helping people find their voice through simple, accessible creative acts. Her sessions are never about "performing"; they are about being present, feeling heard, and finding magic in the everyday.
