Do you have dance experience? Already learned hula basics in the past? Here is your chance to learn hula from a Merrie Monarch winner- in Nebraska!
Unko Kawika was in the 1982 Merrie Monarch competition as a senior in High school on the Big Island. Unko Kawika was a member of Hālau O Ka Ua Kani Lehua with a Hawaiian musical and legend Kumu Hula Johnnie Lum Ho, who won the men's overall competition-(Kāne) Hula Kahiko ( ancient dance) and the men's Hula ‘Auana (modern dance).
Lessons will be held on Wednesdays for 4 consecutive weeks! Pupus/snacks will be available to eat after each class.
Dates:
Wednesdays - June 24, July, 1, 8, and 15 (4 classes total)
Time:
6:00PM-7:00PM
1 Hour Class followed by food
Prices:
$160 per person
