People keep asking me,"When are we going to dance again?". Well...the answer is...November 7Instead of my normal committed series, I decided to do it a little differently to help make it more accessible to everyone:
~ Thurs, Nov 7, will be a stand-alone class.
~ Then I'll offer a 4-week class series Nov 14 - Dec 12 (no class on Thanksgiving).
In all the classes, I will be focusing on practices that will help us resource ourselves during this devastating time. I think it will be good medicine for us to gather and dance through this together.
Here is the regular description of my Inquiry in Motion classes:
Join us as we embark on a dynamic moving exploration of the truth that resides in our own body. Through the Open Floor movement/dance practice, Somatic Experiencing principles, and mindful inquiry, we will journey below the stories about who we are and who we should be. Together we will strengthen our skills to listen, track and follow the innate wisdom of our own body, discovering how it speaks to us through movement.
Open Floor is a healing movement meditation practice and lively dance inquiry. The emphasis is to awaken our sensate experience, emotional intelligence, relational skills, and mindful awareness.
From our practice on the dance floor, you will develop greater trust in your body's natural intelligence that will enable you to live with more awareness, vitality and joy.

“WOW! Stacey's Open Floor Movement dance workshops are my favorite thing in life right now! She hosts a closed cohort that meets for 5 or 6 weeks at a time. Participants get to know one another through the language of dance, which creates intimacy, community, and a sense of safety that allows for a deeper degree of vulnerability. There's true healing here! Stacey also brings her depth of somatic knowledge into the curated workshops that feel to be a melding between somatic experiencing, yoga, and ceremony. Of all the conscious dance in Asheville, what Stacey has created is truly unique, special, intentional, and EXACTLY the space you want to be in if you desire movement for healing mind, body, and soul!”
