Cultivating Calm, Resilience, and Wisdom in an Uncertain World
About this Event

When life feels unsettling or challenging, cultivating inner strength and inner protection becomes especially important.

Stress and tension can easily leave us feeling powerless, yet each of us has access to deep inner reserves of peace, wisdom, and steadiness. With the right approach, we can learn to meet adversity with greater ease, adapt to circumstances beyond our control, and navigate both personal struggles and uncertain times with confidence.

Our true strength lies not in changing everything around us, but in how we respond and how we show up for others. By developing a calm and resilient mind, we can respond to difficulties with wisdom, compassion, and clarity, rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.

Join us for a series of classes with Nicola, where you will explore simple, time-honoured Buddhist teachings designed to help you let go of unnecessary stress and face life’s challenges, large and small, with openness, flexibility, and a lighter touch.

Week 1 – Finding Calm in Uncertain Times

Week 2 – Building Inner Protection

Week 3 – Responding, Not Reacting

Week 4 – Understanding and Dissolving Stress & Overwhelm

Week 5 – Making Peace with What We Can’t Control

Week 6 – Cultivating a Resilient and Compassionate Mind

Week 7 – Showing Up with Wisdom and a Good Heart

Week 8 – The Wisdom that Liberates

Each class stands on its own, so feel free to drop in anytime. We recommend attending the full series if you can, but you’re always welcome to join individual sessions.  Suitable for complete beginners and experienced meditators.

Everyone is welcome!

Sessions last for an hour. Light refreshments will be served before or after the class.
