Indy Park-to-Park Walk

EVENT OVERVIEW:

Inspired by the Manhattan end-to-end walk and co-hosted by We Walk Indy and Third Space Indy, the Park-to-Park Walk is a 13-mile community walk that brings people together to explore just how connected and walkable Indianapolis really is.

QUICK DETAILS:

• Meet at Indy Art Center & Monon Trail in Broad Ripple
• End at Garfield Park on the south side
• Lunch stop at The Garage Food Hall
• Join for the full route or at various stops along the way
• Ride the IndyGo Red Line bus back as a group
• Utilizing the Monon, Indianapolis Cultural Trail, and Pleasant Run Trails
• Everyone is welcome!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• We'll be walking as a group at an average pace of 3 miles per hour
• We'll make various stops along the way to rest, refill water bottles, grab snacks and take bio breaks
• Pacers bikeshare bikes are located along our route which might be helpful to use if you get tired, need a break or want to zoom ahead to the next stop. Marion Co. residents are eligible for free rides. Learn more and sign up for the IndyRides Free annual pass here.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Bring comfortable socks & shoes, layers like a light jacket, a water bottle you can refill at various stops, snacks, and a portable battery charger.

Free parking at the Indianapolis Art Center (820 E 67th St) and along nearby streets

1) 8:30 - 9:00AM: Meet at & Monon Trail in Broad Ripple

2) 9:45 - 10:15AM: MononWorks/Ripple Boulder - (52nd & Monon)

3) 11:00 - 11:15AM: Break at bridge (on Monon just south of 38th)

4) 12:30 - 1:30PM: Lunch: Garage Food Hall in the Bottleworks District

5) 1:30 - 1:45PM: Tomorrow Bookstore

8) 3:45PM: End at Garfield Park

9) 3:45 - 4:45PM: Return to Broad Ripple as a group via the IndyGo Bus Red Line. The first 28 people will ride free. Pro tip: download the "My Key" mobile app to pay + tap to ride.

10) 5:00PM: Return to Marott Park in Broad Ripple
