On the first Saturday of May, over 20,000 runners, joggers, walkers, pushers, and rollers will take over the streets of downtown Indianapolis for The Greatest Spectacle in Running® — the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K.This race kicks off in the heart of downtown Indy, featuring a flat, fast course lined with thousands of enthusiastic volunteers and nearly 50 high-energy entertainment acts along the iconic route.
2026 marks the 50th running of the Mini-Marathon, welcoming participants of all experience levels. Even if you’re not racing, the excitement continues at the 500 Festival Post Race Party, presented by PNC Bank, where thousands gather to celebrate the finishers in Military Park. Spectators and participants alike can enjoy live race coverage, great music, outstanding food from local vendors, and an ice-cold Michelob ULTRA, with complimentary samples for participants.
