Independent Bookstore Day (IBD) is a one-day national party at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. There are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day. Not before. Not after. Nowhere else.
We will list available limited edition merch on this page once it is available. Please note: The Doylestown & Lahaska Bookshops may not have all of the items listed on the merch page; please call ahead if there is a specific item you are looking for. These items will be available for sale beginning on Saturday, April 26th, 2025.

DOYLESTOWN:
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Children’s face painting with Alex!
12:00 PM - 3:00 PM - The Hops/Scotch mobile bar will be at The Doylestown Bookshop offering a selection of drinks and a special themed VHS drink in honor of visiting author Todd Keisling based on his book “Scanlines.” Drinks are available for purchase; cash and credit are accepted.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Join us for a special Independent Bookstore Day event with two-time Bram Stoker Award®-nominated author Todd Keisling as he discusses and signs The Sundowner's Dance.
-Play TBR Bingo in the bookstore
-Raffles every hour on the hour beginning at 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
-Post a picture of yourself in front of The Doylestown or Lahaska Bookshop, tagging the bookstore and #IndieBookstoreDay to be entered into a drawing to win a private shopping hour at the store of your choice with four friends! The winners will be notified on Monday, April 28th, 2025.
-Order at least $25 worth of books from www.doylestownbookshop.com on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, to be automatically entered into a drawing or receive a secret gift in your package.
-Share your favorite book with us on our larger-than-life book banner (located on our cafe window at the Main Street entrance).

LAHASKA:
FROM 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
-Play TBR Bingo in the bookstore
-Post a picture of yourself in front of The Doylestown or Lahaska Bookshop, tagging the bookstore and #IndieBookstoreDay to be entered into a drawing to win a private shopping hour at the store of your choice with four friends! The winners will be notified on Monday, April 28th, 2025.
