Adapted from the autobiographical best seller, EMPIRE OF THE SUN is often overlooked, but stands out as one of Steven Spielberg's most ambitious masterpieces. The film features a remarkable lead performance by Christian Bale in his film debut. Also starring John Malkovich and Miranda Richardson.
