In Waves And War presented by Texans for Greater Mental Health
About this Event
Join Texans for Greater Mental Health, The Casey Skudin 343 Fund, and the Psychedelic Society of Texas for a free screening of In Waves and War, followed by a panel discussion.
In Waves and War follows three former Navy SEALs and their families as they navigate trauma, brotherhood, and the radical path to healing through psychedelic-assisted therapy.
The film offers a raw, human look at the unseen wounds of war and the courage it takes to seek healing when conventional treatments fall short.
Following the screening, we will host a panel discussion featuring voices across policy, veteran advocacy, and first responder mental health who are working to expand access to psychedelic-assisted therapies in Texas.
Panelists include:
- Wade Hood, 343 Fund
Texas firefighter and first responder mental health advocate who supports first responders before and after psychedelic-assisted treatment. - Vance McMurry, Texans for Greater Mental Health
Co-Executive Director, West Point graduate, and U.S. Army veteran with experience in military service, leadership, and advocacy.
Doors open at 2:00 PM, with the film beginning at 2:30 PM, and the panel discussion to follow.
