About this Event

We’re going to Six Flags to ride roller coasters—and use the rush of the ride to heal our nervous systems.


We all live through life stressors that leave us locked in a state of chronic bracing. To protect ourselves, we often go numb or anxious, treating even low-key, everyday challenges as threats we have to endure.

We are meeting to shift that by tapping into eustress: the exhilarating thrill that sharpens our focus and reminds us what it feels like to be wildly, joyfully alive. This meetup is designed to get us back in touch with feeling stress as beneficial, using the rush of the coaster to move through the fear rather than bracing against it.

THE GAME PLAN
  • 5:00 PM – The Warm-Up & Snack: We’ll meet up right inside the gates to chat about distress, eustress, and nervous system recalibration. We'll gab—without trauma dumping—about feeling numb and wanting to feel joy in everyday, low-key stressful situations again.
  • 5:30 PM – The Coaster Circuit: We’ll all collectively choose our rides. I'll make personalized suggestions grounded in somatic science about how to get the most out of the riding the coasters to train your nervous system to have fun again. Then, we just ride. We’ll bond, laugh, scream, and giggle.
  • 7:30 PM – The Bring it Home Dinner: We’ll stop for our included meal to talk about how to bring this feeling into our life. We'll check in, process the physical shifts, and chat about practical ways to carry eustress into our daily routines so we can make lasting changes and approach everyday challenges with this same sense of play.
  • 8:30 PM – The Grand Finale: We’ll cap it all off by heading over to Tormenta. Maybe we ride it, or maybe we'll just "chicken out," respect our no, and be so happy. Whatever we choose, we end the night doing exactly what feels good for our bodies.
